OHIO – Mitchell Hlay, senior from Revere High School, made his future evident February 4, 2015 by signing his NLI (National Letter of Intent). 4th marks the first day that high school seniors could sign scholarship papers for the following sports: Football, Men and Women’s Soccer, Water polo (Mens’ only), and more.
The letter of intent is a binding agreement between the student-athlete and a college, by which the student-athlete agrees to attend the college for one academic year.
Hlay, Offensive Tackle / 6’7”/ 275 lbs., will be looking to continue his academic career after accepting a full scholarship at The University of Akron and his athletic career playing Football for the Zips. Hlay paved the way for numerous offensive records broken during his two years as a starter. “Mitch is a dominant offensive lineman with all the tools to have a fantastic collegiate career. Akron is getting a steal!” said Revere head coach Mike Murphey.
Congratulations to Mitchell on advancing your academic and athletic careers at the next level. All of us at DigitalSports wish you luck!
